Best Student Paper Award at OECC 2022

July 2022: Christoph Füllner, PhD candidate at IPQ, won the Best Student Paper Award in the category “Transmission Systems and Subsystems” at the 27th OptoElectronics and Communications Conference / International Conference on Photonics in Switching and Computing 2022 (OECC/PSC 2022) held in Toyama, Japan.  In his paper "160-GBd Photonic-Electronic PAM Transmitter Based on IQ Multiplexing" he proposes a novel high-speed photonic-electronic signal generator concept that allows generating symbol rates beyond the capabilities of commercially available CMOS technology.
