Best Student Paper Award at APC 2022
Md Mosaddek Hossain Adib, PhD candidate at IPQ, has been selected for the 2022 Advanced Photonics Congress Student Paper Prize by the Photonic Networks and Devices (NETWORKS) committee chairs.
August 2022: Md Mosaddek Hossain Adib, PhD candidate at IPQ, won the Best Student Paper Award in the category Access Networks at the Topical Meeting “Photonic Networks and Devices” as part of the Advanced Photonics Congress held in July 2022 in Maastricht, The Netherlands. In his paper entitled “Subcarrier-Based Coherent PON Architecture for a Converged Fiber Infrastructure in Smart-Cities”, he proposed a coherent passive optical network (PON) architecture based on transmitting electrical-subcarriers and on a frequency comb laser in the central office. This architecture is suitable for a converged fiber infrastructure in future smart cities, and for new PON deployments.
